I had gone to Club Front, the Dead's rehearsal studio, to photograph Robert for BAM Magazine. As I was photographing him in different poses, he spontaneously grabbed his trumpet and jumped up on top of a stack of equipment crates in front of a huge "Blues For Allah" backdrop. This is one of my favorite photographs.
